Salvaged. Repurposed. Reinvented.
My work has always been founded on my passion for found objects, urban artifacts, and a love for assemblage in general. I want to create pieces that inspire and spread happiness. Using a rotating collection of vintage objects, antique materials, urban artifacts, natural curiosities, and ephemera, I make jewelry and one of a kind assemblage robots. I am fascinated by the history of objects, I love the mix of raw, edgy objects and more feminine materials, like bullet casings and chandelier crystals, or tintypes and pearls. Adventurous Jewelry or The People is a collection built with vintage watch cases, antlers, silverware, postcards, postage stamps, watch gears, bones, teeth, fur, & photographs, each object is unique and has it's own story. When combined, these materials blend into a cohesive curiosity cabinet of jewelry. I use a mix of techniques to create my jewelry and assemblages, including, hammering, riveting, metal stamping, silver soldering, oxidizing, and various patina applications.
